It is easy to rent properly in Paris, if you can proceed with method and know a few elementary rules peculiar to Paris. Which district?

Living in a comfortable furnished apartment in Paris, you will have a real taste of Parisian life, and appreciate the typical and historical character of the district of your choice, its monuments, museums, cafes, and walks in parks.
Rent in Paris to a price that fits to your budget and stay in the historical heart of Paris, about from the 1st to the 8th district, and of course the Montmartre district : "la vie en rose" is right there...

The most requested districts are definitely Le Marais, St-Germain, St Michel (3-4-5-6th districts), then the Louvre and Beaubourg les halles (1st et 2nd districts), followed by the Invalides and the Champs-Elysees (7 et 8th districts), and of course the great Montmartre district, at the top of the 18th district.

What price?
You can easily rent an apartment in Paris to a reasonable price, that would give you the chance to enjoy the capital city. Compared to a hotel, short-term rental in a furnished apartment is very profitable from 2 people and for more than 2 days.
Rent a quality furnished apartment, find the accomodation of your choice in a nice district, in a picturesque, bustling or quiet street, a functional and conviniently furnished studio, something cheap enough to enjoy recreation, shows, entertainment, walks and charms of Paris.
Rental prices are around 80-90 euros a night for a quite good quality studio that sleeps 2 people. Of course, the price depends on the district and the quality of the apartment and therefore may double. The average prices are between 150 and 200 euros a night for 4 people and between 300 and 350 a night up to 6 people.
The security deposit is set by the owner and its amount is variable. The tenant gets it back before his departure, minus the potential damage caused.

What kind of apartment ?
Usually, the apartment is fully equipped with linens, towels, kitchen ustensils, etc... You will be able to cook and live as if you were at home during your stay. The household, which is often included in the price of your stay, must be done before you get into the apartment. You will have to leave the apartment clean before leaving as well.
- Bedding
Choose the apartment according to the number of people that it sleeps. If you have to take an apartment with a sofa bed, consider its quality : some have a very good quality, others don't. Most sofa beds are from 1,20 meter to 1,50 meter wide. Separate bedrooms are preferable.
Beds have generally a good quality, but only a few are King size beds. In France, width is measured in meter. They usually are around 1,60-1,80 meter wide and around 1,90-2,00 meter long.
- Floor
In France, the 1st floor is just above the ground floor.
If the apartment is located above the 3rd floor, it is better to have an elevator. Generally, elevators are quite narrow in old buildings.
- Calm
Though most bedrooms overlook a street (more or less crowded), you will easily be able to find an apartment in Paris with a main bedroom overlooking a quiet couryard.
- Air-Conditioning
It is not very necessary to have air-conditioning in Paris except in July and August, but more and more people want to have it, if only to enjoy some peace and quiet. Even if air-conditioning is not very used yet in our beautiful city, more and more apartments are equipped.

How can you look for an apartment ?
Nowadays, you can easily look for an accomodation in Paris with Internet : you can use a search engine, and type, for example, " Paris Saint-Germain short-term rental apartments "; you will get a list of specialized professional agencies.
Then, you will only have to choose the most famous ones, that are generally on first page, and follow the different instructions on their respective websites. It is better to choose an agency located in France in case of necessity, and whose name is clearly mentionned on its website (link Contact us). When should you book your apartment ?
Book if possible in advance, up to a year is possible, but not too long. You will have a vast choice and recommendations from the agency if you can book your apartment in the low season.
